Miami Heat Roster Report 2009-12-13

Miami Heat Roster Report 2009-12-13ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Mario Chalmers, Shooting guard Dwyane Wade, Small forward Quentin Richardson, Power forward Michael Beasley, Center Joel Anthony. Bench -- Forward Udonis Haslem, Forward Dorell Wright, Guard Carlos Arroyo, Forward James Jones.

PLAYER NOTES:

--Amid the need for offense, G Carlos Arroyo, who had not played the previous two games, entered late in the opening period against the Mavericks, with the Heat down 24-9. Arroyo's previous action was Dec. 3 in Denver. He showed little during his 14 minutes, compiling three points, two rebounds and one assist.

--So much for F Dorell Wright as a new-found catalyst. He was ordinary in almost every aspect against the Mavericks after his breakout performance Sunday in Sacramento. He scored just four points in 29 minutes of play. Wright started the second half in place of F Quentin Richardson, who played only seven first-half minutes after missing practice the previous two days with a strained hamstring.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--G Daequan Cook (eye) was available Friday against the Mavericks, after missing last Sunday's game in Sacramento due to a case of pink eye, but did not play.

--F Quentin Richardson (hamstring) played Friday against the Mavericks, after missing two days of practice this week due to a strained right hamstring sustained at the end of the third quarter of last Sunday's victory in Sacramento. He lasted only seven minutes, but is hopeful of playing Sunday against visiting Memphis.

--C Jermaine O'Neal missed his second consecutive game due to a family funeral in Columbia, S.C. He is expected back for Sunday's game against Memphis.

--G Chris Quinn (bruised foot) is out of his walking boot and available for his first action of the season. He has yet to make it off the inactive list.
