ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Mario Chalmers, Shooting guard Dwyane Wade, Small forward Quentin Richardson, Power forward Michael Beasley, Center Jermaine O'Neal. Bench -- Forward James Jones, Forward Udonis Haslem, Center Joel Anthony, Guard Carlos Arroyo, Forward Dorell Wright, Center Jamaal Magloire, Guard Daequan Cook. PLAYER NOTES: --G Dwyane Wade didn't make his first field goal until two minutes were left in the first half. It was a slam dunk.
--C Jermaine O'Neal had a double-double against the Lakers, scoring 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting and grabbing 10 rebounds.
--F Quentin Richardson, who is averaging eight points per game, had his second double-digit scoring night in his past three games. He scored 13 points Friday night against the Lakers, two games after scoring 20 against Portland.
--G Dwyane Wade, who is averaging 26.7 points per game, led the Heat with 26 points, but he shot just .333 from the field.
--C Jamaal Magloire, and not Joel Anthony, was the Heat's first center off the bench against the Lakers. Magloire did a solid job of throwing his weight around against the Lakers' oversized front line. He had seven points and five rebounds in the first half.
--F Dorell Wright again got early minutes amid the Daequan Cook freeze-out, butchering a near-perfect half-court alley-oop pass from G Dwyane Wade late in the first quarter against the Lakers. Wright later was victimized by a Kobe Bryant three-point play and 3-pointer early in the final period.
--It appears as if G Carlos Arroyo's run could be winding down, considering G Chris Quinn remains available, fully recovered from his preseason injury.
MEDICAL WATCH:
--G Chris Quinn (bruised foot) is out of his walking boot and available for his first action of the season. He has yet to make it off the inactive list.
