ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Mario Chalmers, Shooting guard Dwyane Wade, Small forward Quentin Richardson, Power forward Michael Beasley, Center Jermaine O'Neal. Bench -- Center Joel Anthony, Guard Carlos Arroyo, Forward Shavlik Randolph, Guard Daequan Cook. Forward James Jones. PLAYER NOTES: --Which is tougher for G Dwyane Wade: opening 4-of-14 from the field, or finding yourself running the pick and roll at the end of the third quarter with F Shavlik Randolph and C Joel Anthony? With F Udonis Haslem sidelined and F Quentin Richardson injured, that's what Wade was left with at one stage against the Hawks.
--Without the threat of sidelined F Udonis Haslem poised to replace him, F Michael Beasley made his first five shots against the Hawks, including a one-hand slam off a baseline dish from G Mario Chalmers. And this time Beasley rebounded, too. He closed with 21 points and nine rebounds.
--Erik Spoelstra again dared open the fourth quarter without Wade in Atlanta, with F James Jones in his place. The Heat was within 79-72 at the end of the third quarter; it was 85-73 when Wade re-entered with 9:08 to play.
MEDICAL WATCH:
--F Udonis Haslem (strained left shoulder) sat out Wednesday's game. He said he is hopeful of returning Friday in Toronto, but at this point is questionable, at best.
--F Quentin Richardson (strained lower back) left in the third quarter of the Hawks game. His status for Friday night in Toronto was not immediately known.
--G Chris Quinn (bruised foot) is out of his walking boot and available for his first action of the season. He has yet to make it off the inactive list.
