ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Mario Chalmers, Shooting guard Dwyane Wade, Small forward Quentin Richardson, Power forward Michael Beasley, Center Joel Anthony. Bench -- Guard Daequan Cook, Guard Carlos Arroyo, Forward Udonis Haslem, Center Jamaal Magloirfe, Forward James Jones. PLAYER NOTES: --G Daequan Cook, who had been out due to a strained right shoulder, saw his minutes increase against the Nets, utilized at times in combo with G Dwyane Wade, with the two sharing the ball-handling amid the injury absence of Mario Chalmers. Cook still appears to lack confidence in his shot, although he insisted he no longer feels pain when following through. He missed all three of his first-half shots, after shooting 0-for-4 in Thursday's return from a five-game absence. After a fourth miss, he finally converted on the type of driving layup the staff was hoping to see more of this season. It was his lone basket against the Nets.
--F Michael Beasley missed his first seven shots against the Nets. To his credit, that didn't stop him from hitting the boards, with a team-high six in the first half and eight overall. Foul trouble, though, did get the best of him, called for his fourth just 21 seconds into the second half.
--With Beasley limited, F Udonis Haslem again picked up the slack, nailing jumper after jumper, at one stage making nine of 12 from the field. Haslem as zone buster. Who knew? It was Haslem's first-ever 20-point game as a reserve, as he set a career high for made baskets.
--In the Heat's ever-evolving rotation, F Dorell Wright this time found himself as the odd man out. There simply wasn't an individual Net who required the presence of a defensive stopper.
MEDICAL WATCH:
--C Jermaine O'Neal (bruised left hip) was held out Nov. 14 against the Nets. With the Heat idle until Nov. 17, O'Neal is expected to return then against Oklahoma City.
--G Mario Chalmers (shoulder) left in the first quarter against the Nets with what he termed a stinger. He expects to return Nov. 17 against Oklahoma City.
--G Daequan Cook (shoulder) is back after missing five games with a strained right shoulder, but he still struggling with his shot.
--G Chris Quinn (bruised foot) is out of his walking boot and available for his first action of the season. He has yet to make it off the inactive list.
