ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Mario Chalmers, Shooting guard Dwyane Wade, Small forward Quentin Richardson, Power forward Michael Beasley, Center Jermaine O'Neal. Bench -- Forward Udonis Haslem, Center Joel Anthony, Guard Daequan Cook, Guard Carlos Arroyo, Forward Yakhouba Diawara. PLAYER NOTES: --F Michael Beasley was a beast on the boards against the Pacers with his nine rebounds, aggressively attacking the glass after being limited to three rebounds in the opener against the Knicks. He also had a nice put-back dunk in the third quarter and then finished after contact moments later.
--F Udonis Haslem then picked up where Beasley left off, completing an impressive 1-2 combo off the glass at power forward. This sixth-man thing seems to be working. Haslem closed with 10 rebounds and 10 points against the Pacers.
--G Daequan Cook was able to somewhat push through his shoulder injury against the Pacers, at least making it to the court. Had Cook not been able to go, coach Erik Spoelstra said he likely would have played Dorell Wright as the first wing off the bench. Instead, F Yakhouba Diawara was brought in for defensive purposes after G Dwyane Wade was called for his fourth foul. Wright did not play against Indiana.
MEDICAL WATCH:
--G Daequan Cook (shoulder) is playing through a strain sustained during a workout mishap.
--G Chris Quinn (bruised foot) is out of his walking boot and traveling with the team.
--F James Jones (stomach virus) did not travel with the team to Indianapolis and is listed as day-to-day.
--F Dorell Wright (knee) continues to experience swelling, after undergoing procedures in each of the previous two seasons.
