PLAYER NOTES: --G Mario Chalmers, known more for his defense than his offense, is on pace to establish a Heat rookie record for three-pointers made. Daequan Cook has the record with 79 last season. Chalmers has 42 after 29 games.
--F Michael Beasley had nine points and five rebounds Sunday against Cleveland in a so-so performance. Beasley seemed more comfortable offensively than he has the past two or three games, however. And his defense wasn't bad.
--G Chris Quinn didn't play Sunday. Instead, G Marcus Banks handled reserve point guard duties for the fourth consecutive game.
MEDICAL WATCH:
--F James Jones (right wrist surgery) is out until mid-January. Jones, Miami's best three-point shooter, had his cast removed on Nov. 18 and thinks he'll be back sooner.
--F Dorell Wright (knee surgery) is out until at least early January. He had surgery on his left knee Nov. 25 to remove loose bodies. Wright had surgery on his left knee in March was to repair a torn ligament.
--C Alonzo Mourning (knee surgery) is out until sometime in January or possibly February. Mourning, 38, isn't on the roster but Miami expects him to return.
