PLAYER NOTES: --G Dwyane Wade entered Saturday's game against the Clippers tied for 11th in the NBA in blocks at 1.69 per game. No other guard ranks in the top 40.
--F Michael Beasley had a 17-point second quarter against the Clippers. His previous high was 10 points in a quarter, something he'd done three times. Beasley ended with 24 points, his second-best performance of the year behind a 25-point game against Charlotte.
--F Udonis Haslem had a season-high three blocks Saturday to go along with 18 points and six rebounds. Haslem, now back at his natural position of power forward after Miami moved Michael Beasley out of the starting lineup, is the team's most reliable player after Dwyane Wade.
MEDICAL WATCH:
--F James Jones (right wrist surgery) is out until mid-January. Jones, Miami's best 3-point shooter, had his cast removed on Nov. 18 and thinks he'll be back sooner.
--F Dorell Wright (knee surgery) is out until January. He had surgery on his left knee Nov. 25 to remove loose bodies. He'll be out until early December. Wright had surgery on his left knee in March to repair a torn ligament.
--C Alonzo Mourning (knee surgery) is out until sometime in January or possibly February. Mourning, 38, isn't on the roster, but Miami expects him to return.
