
--G Dwyane Wade has reported to Las Vegas for the U.S. Olympic team camp and is practicing with no pain or repercussions from the past two seasons. Wade, of course, has missed 31 games in each of the last two years due mainly to left shoulder and left knee injuries.
--Miami is still hoping to escape paying the luxury tax this season and most likely that will mean signing minimum-wage players, if the Heat elects to stick with free agency. Miami's payroll is around $68 million; the luxury tax threshold is $71.7 million. --The free agency market is rapidly thinning. Miami was said to have showed interest in C Brian Skinner but there's been no word on a possible signing from either side.
