--Monday's duel between G Dwyane Wade and F LeBron James reminded some of the April Fool's Day duel of 2006 between these two in Cleveland. James had 47 points and Wade had 44 points, and the Cavs won 106-99.
"I don't like these games if I'm going to keep coming out on the 'L' side of them," Wade said. "Two good players doing what they can to help their team win. An exciting game for the fans, of course, but I'd love to come out on the other side." --Cleveland made 11 3-pointers. That meant the Heat allowed an opponent to make at least seven 3-pointers for the eighth time in the last 15 games. Miami is 2-6 during that time.
--Remember G Dwyane Wade's 46 points, eight rebounds, 10 assists, four steals and three blocks in Saturday's 120-115 victory over New York? That was the first time in NBA history anyone has had those minimums.
QUOTE TO NOTE: "Probably right after I did it. I saw you guys; your eyes were like this (eyes wide open)." -- Coach Erik Spoelstra, asked when he realized he dropped an "F-bomb" during the Heat's postgame news conference after Saturday's 120-115 victory over New York.
