--Coach Erik Spoelstra seems to be settled on a nine-man rotation for now. G Marcus Banks, C Mark Blount, G Daequan Cook and G Shaun Livingston are the ones off the bench.
--G Daequan Cook, the Heat's three-point shooter who is now 6-for-12 from long range, might be coming around defensively. He only committed one foul in 29 minutes against New York, and he grabbed six rebounds. "I worked on my defense more than anything (during the off-season)," Cook said, "knowing what's really going to get me out there on the floor is defending."
